ABOUT
SOJU EVENTS
Soju Events is an entertainment company focused on Korean arts and culture located in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2016 by college classmates Bryn, Martina and John, Soju Sunday became the most popular K-Pop event on the west coast. The three friends embarked on this challenging but exciting journey because they thought the city was missing a fun K-Pop party!
Soju Events only throws parties that the original founders would personally want to attend and always treats the Soju crowd as a family.
Soju Events has been lucky to bring internationally recognized talent such as Reddy, Verbal Jint, Bongyoung Park, and Sori Na. If you are interested in touring in Vancouver, Canada please contact Soju Events.
ABOUT SOJU TEAM
Hi! We’re the humans behind Soju Events. When we get together, cool things happen.
As Soju Events grows, new faces are joining the team. We are beyond thankful for every single person you see below because these beauties make our days better and your soju experiences great; we cannot imagine our lives without them.

BRYN TUCKER
Co-Founder + Operations Manager
Bryn is the mastermind behind the whole Soju Sunday idea. The student exchange program at Soonchunhyang University he did while being enrolled in Langara College undergrad program opened a completely new world to him and he has been in love with Korea ever since. Bryn hopes to continue to find other people that are into Korean culture as much as him. When not working at Venue nightclub or planning another Soju Sunday, you can find Bryn playing ball or coaching rugby. Bryn's favourite Korean artist is Jay Park and his fave K-Pop banger is EXO's "엑소 "Love Shot"

MARTINA ONDRASEKOVA
Co-Founder + Marketing Manager
Martina is passionate about creating content for Soju Events' social media or connecting with our Soju fam both online and offline. A true hustler at heart, Martina loves to keep busy and when not planning and promoting next Soju Sunday, she works full time for her family business Smartbite Snacks. On her days off she can be found next to her fam and friends, at the nearest concert, dancing at Army of Sass, running through False Creek, volunteering or learning how to skateboard by falling 30 times per minute. Martina is obsessed with G-Dragon and her fave K-Pop song is '삐딱하게(CROOKED)'.

JOHN APOSTO
Co-Founder + DJ Manager
John Aposto is famous for his DJ abilities and his last name Apostolopoulos (say it five times in a row without making a mistake and we're buying you a drink). When not playing K-Pop songs requested by our Soju fam at Soju Sundays, John loves to spend his time making music and DJing at Cavo on Fridays! During his free time you can find John cramming for his auditions. Hollywood watch out! John is obsessed with Hyoyeon for two reasons - she is beautiful and she can DJ! You can find him hitting replay button each time Hyoyeon's '효연 Wannabe' comes up.

STEPHANIE KWAN
Events Manager
Content Creator

JOHN PASCUA
Events Photographer
Steph is currently living the dream and residing in South Korea, checking out the live entertainment scene, while teaching English on the side. When she's not working on events, she will either be at the most recent K-Pop concert, dancing at 1Million or editing a YouTube video showcasing her amazing time in Korea. Although she's into all K-Pop, her favourite groups are GOT7 and DAY6. Steph's heart starts beating a little faster to "A" + "You Are” + "Face" by GOT7. Catch her next time when she's back in Vancouver!
John, also known as "the other John", is the man behind the camera that takes the pretty pictures you see from Soju Sundays. Having picked up photography in 2016, he's quickly learnt the ropes of what it takes to become a professional photographer. When away from Soju Sunday, he is usually using his skills on commercial product photography. John's favorite Korean artist is Travis Scott. Be sure to smile when you see him and his camera at the next Soju Sunday!

FADZI MBAYA
Mufadzi also known as Fadzi is from Zimbabwe and has lived in Vancouver since 2015. Fadzi is passionate about music, fashion and creative writing. She is currently pursuing a degree in communications at SFU. Mufadzi is also focusing her time and energy on fashion blogging while showcasing her love for music and fashion at the same time. Fadzi's favourite K-Pop song is Ring Ding Dong by SHInee and her favourite groups are SHInee and BTS.

JORGE ONSHAGEN
Content Creator
Jorge was born and raised in sunny Venezuela. He came to Vancouver in 2016 to search for a new life that will offer him a better future and help him pursue all of his dreams. Jorge is passionate about new cultures and languages and that is in part what brought him closer to K-Pop and to writing about it. As one of the content creators for Soju Events, Jorge is on a mission to give Soju fam the most up-to-date info and the juiciest news from the exciting world of K-Pop. Jorge's heart belongs to SHINee and he lives for 'The Eve' by EXO.

LIZ FAJCSIK
Events Coordinator
As someone who is active in the Vancouver K-Pop scene, Liz works to make everything a more positive experience. She is also highly active on personal social media accounts, and has a tendency to hold giveaways. Outside the K-Pop world she spends time gaming (occasional live streams) and cooking. Although she supports a lot of K-Pop groups, her favorite artists are the woollim artists INFINITE and Golden Child. Her favorite song would be "The Chaser" by INFINITE.

LEAH NGUYEN
Events Coordinator
If this face looks familiar, then you probably saw it on stage at one of many Soju Sundays pumping up the crowd. When off stage, Leah hustles as the events specialist at Soju Events. Leah is also a talented dancer who has been into dancing for the past 8 years. Leah calls Vancouver home since 2016 and she is thankful for Soju community as it allows her to meet like-minded K-Poppers. Leah is the biggest Super Junior and Hyuna fan and her number one K-Pop jam is BLACKPINK's ‘뚜두뚜두 (DDU-DU DDU-DU)’.
