Soju Sundays, Celebrity Appearances & Alberta Adventures: A 2024 Soju Events Year in Review
2024 has been an absolute whirlwind for Soju Events, and we're taking a moment to raise a glass (of soju, naturally!) to celebrate an incredible year of K-Pop parties, expansion, and unforgettable moments. From Vancouver's beloved Soju Sundays to new adventures in Alberta, it's been a year defined by bringing the K-Pop community together through music, dance, and of course, soju! Let's take a walk down memory lane and revisit some of the highlights that made 2024 such a memorable year for Soju Sunday.
Soju Sundays: Vancouver's K-Pop Party Reign Continues
Vancouver, you've consistently shown us the love, and Soju Sundays continues to be THE place to be for K-Pop enthusiasts. Every month, the energy has been electric, fueled by the latest hits, classic throwbacks, and a vibrant soju fam that knows how to party. But 2024 wasn't just about maintaining the momentum; it was about elevating the experience. We were absolutely thrilled to welcome two iconic figures to the Soju Sunday stage:
Cha Cha Malone Takes Over: Having the legendary producer Cha Cha Malone grace the Soju Sunday stage was a dream come true for us. Known for his iconic collaborations with artists like Jay Park, Loco, and Simon Dominic, Cha Cha Malone brought his signature sound and undeniable energy to Vancouver. The crowd went wild as he spun his signature tracks and shared his passion for music. It was a night of pure K-Hip Hop and R&B bliss. It was an honour to have him share his talent with the soju fam. 👀 Look out for his new track: Got It Like That (feat. Jay Park)
Ted Park Spits Fire: The excitement didn't stop there! Soju Sunday also welcomed Korean-American rapper Ted Park, known for his smooth vocals and relatable lyrics. The Korean-American rapper brought the heat, delivering a high-energy performance that had everyone rapping along to his infectious tracks. He brought his unique blend of hip-hop and R&B to the stage, captivating the audience with his captivating performance. Ted Park's presence further solidified Soju Sunday's reputation for attracting top-tier talent and providing attendees with unforgettable experiences. Ted Park is constantly releasing new music but "Mamacita," is an earworm we haven't been able to stop singing!
Having these artists join us was a testament to the growing popularity and influence of Soju Sundays, and we're incredibly grateful for the amazing support we receive month after month.
Alberta, Here We Come! Expansion to Edmonton and Calgary
One of the biggest highlights of 2024 was expanding the Soju Events experience beyond Vancouver! We heard your calls, Alberta, and we answered. This year saw the launch of Soju Events in both Edmonton and Calgary, and the response has been incredible.
Bringing the K-Pop party to new audiences in Alberta was an exciting challenge, and we've been blown away by the enthusiasm and passion we've encountered. We also got to see our DJ. Jintaek Park in a cowboy hat when we visited Calgary Stampede! But seriously, it's been amazing to build new communities in these cities and see the Soju Events vibe resonate so strongly. From the packed dance floors to the countless smiles, it's clear that the K-Pop spirit is alive and well in Alberta!
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we wrap up 2024, we're already buzzing with excitement for what 2025 has in store. You can expect:
Even bigger and better Soju Sundays in Vancouver. We're always looking for ways to enhance the experience, from bringing in more guest DJs and performers to introducing new themed nights and surprises.
