Happy New Year Soju fam. I hope you are all having a great 2019 so far! I wanted to start the year off by showcasing some of the most talented vocalists in the K-Pop industry and tell you what it is about them that I am so drawn to.
1) Ryeowook (Super Junior)
The most recent member of the group to leave the army and my bias Ryeowook is one of the most talented vocalists I have ever heard in my life. His voice is full of power as well as personality. I love how high pitched it is but he is still able to hit some beautiful low notes as well. I remember watching a live performance of Evanesce and being amazed every time he sang his parts.
2) V (BTS)
V has such a soulful voice. His voice has a unique sound to it that draws you in to the song that he is singing. He is my favourite vocalist in BTS because he has an amazing range and has improved so much more since debut. When I heard his part in The Untold Truth I was instantly drawn in by his beautiful voice. I can't wait to hear more of his solo stuff in the future (side note Singularity is a masterpiece).
3) D.O and Baekhyun (EXO)
D.O gives me nostalgic feels when I hear his voice. He has such an RnB vibe and his voice has so much power. His live performances are always stable and he knows how to use his talents well.
Baekhyun is my bias in EXO and just like Ryeowook I was drawn in by his beautiful voice. He has an amazing vocal range and can really hold a note (If you haven't heard Eldorado go listen to it). Baekhyun is also able to adapt and sing any kind of song changing from singing ballads to pop songs with so much ease.

4) Kihyun (Monsta X)
Kihyun is an amazing singer. I remember his rendition of Jonghyun's Y Si Fuerra Ella and It is still one of my favourite survival show performances. You hear so much passion and emotion in his voice and that makes him so much more lovable. There is a reason why he is the main vocalist of Monsta X.
5. Mamamoo
These girls have really been doing it for me the last few months (they've been in almost every post of mine recently). They're not called vocal powerhouses for nothing. Hwasa's voice is full of sexiness and seductiveness. Wheein and Solar's voices are full of power and strength. They can hold the most beautiful notes without looking like they are trying too hard or straining themselves. Moonbyul has the most beautiful deep voice that is full of so much dimension and light. The four of them make magic together and play to each others strengths well.
6. Baekho (Nu'est)
When I think of Bakeho I think of power. His voice is full of so much energy and he knows what to do with it. He has such a high range when he sings and he hits the most amazing high notes Produce 101 season 2 really showed me how much people didn't recognize how talented he was. He always sang with stable vocals and never disappointed.
7. Yuju (Gfriend)
Yuju is one of my favourite female vocalists at the moment. Her voice is so pure and clear. You can tell that she sings with ease but also with a lot of passion. Navillera is one of my favourite songs because of Yuju's singing. She is simply amazing.
8. Hyolyn
From her Sistar days Hyolyn was a force to be reckoned with. Her voice is full of technique and color. She is also able to sing any kind of song without letting go of her technique and amazing vocal ability. Songs like Dally and To Do List are completely different and yet her singing is still so good in both songs. Songs like Paradise where she sings so fast showcase her raw talent and her ability to sing any melody.
9. IU
Bbibbi is one of the best songs I have heard in my life. The way that IU sings the melody of that song is so amazing. She's playful with the way she goes up and down with her voice and also with the way she pronounces words. The bridge of this song is so good and I always get so excited when I hear it because it's such an experience. There aren't enough words in the English language to describe how much I love what IU can do with her voice.
10. Woosung (The Rose)
Woosung has the coolest voice ever. I could go on about why I love his voice forever but I'll try and keep it short. His voice is raspy and sexy but it is also soulful and full of emotion. His singing is so unique and different and fits in perfectly with music that The Rose makes. To me he is the perfect mix between a rock singer and a ballad singer. His technique is also so unique and I love the beginning of Sorry because you hear the playfulness that his voice has in it that I love so much.
